Bourkes Transport was founded on June 25, 1945 by the late Eddie Bourke and his wife Vi, and is now operated by their sons Wayne and Kerry. Bourkes distribute all the major Sydney newspapers and magazines along the NSW North Coast and have just opened another branch in Queensland. Working 365 days a year and 24 hours a day, the company operates a total of 18 vehicles ranging in size from utilities to semi-trailers. It's 45 staff are all from the Taree area.
